Specialists in SCAPE suits fuelling Galileo satellites

Specialists in astronaut-like SCAPE (Self-Contained Atmospheric Protection Ensemble) suits carefully fuel Galileo satellites ahead of their launch on Ariane 6 in December 2025. The fuel will power the satellites to their final position, 23,222 km above Earth, and keep them precisely aligned, ready to benefit the billions of people who use Galileo daily.
