Going to the Moon

Captured on flight day 2 of the Artemis II mission, Orion and its European Service Module are seen in deep space, with ESA and NASA logos visible on the spacecraft and the Moon appearing as a distant destination ahead.

At the heart of this voyage, the European Service Module provides life support for the crew, as well as power and propulsion, while teams from ESA and Airbus monitor its performance from the ground, ensuring Orion and its crew travel safely around the Moon and back.
