Signature ceremony for a partnership agreement to continue and expand energy efficiency at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. The European Space Agency (ESA) and French energy provider EDF (Électricité de France) signed a partnership agreement to continue and expand energy efficiency at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, on 10 February 2026.

Continuing the cooperation initiated in 2019 under the French Guiana Territorial Compensation Framework, this partnership aims to identify new opportunities to improve the energy performance of ESA infrastructure and support their implementation, while ensuring compliance with the French regulatory framework supporting the energy transition.
