This image of Turin, in northern Italy, was acquired on 8 March 2025 by IRIDE’s Hawk for Earth Observation (HEO) constellation.
Following the launch of seven satellites on 3 May 2026, the HEO constellation now consists of 15 satellites, each one carrying multispectral optical instruments to provide images at 2.7 m resolution.
The constellation, developed by Argotec, is part of the Italian IRIDE Earth observation programme, which is coordinated by ESA with support from the Italian Space Agency. IRIDE is designed to deliver satellite data for a wide range of environmental, emergency and security services.
