Radio contact with the International Space Station – facts and figures

Thanks to the Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) programme, students from all over the world have the opportunity to ask questions via radio to astronauts in space. 

Astronauts can also make unplanned contact with amateur radio stations as the International Space Station flies overhead.
