Astrolab Post-Flight Presentation Long English version 4:3
ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter returned back to Earth in the night 22-23 December after having spent a total of 166 days living on the International Space Station.
48 hours before his first public appearance in Europe, ESA-TV releases a 30-minute Post-Flight Video with the best images from these 166 days, among them much new footage shot by Reiter himself that he brought back in Shuttle Discovery.
The commentary has been written by Reiter who also did the voiceover (in the German version).
There will be two audio channels, one with clean international sound, and the other with English voiceover.
A German script can be consulted online early on 16 January under http://television.esa.int/photos/mission_highlights_16_01_07.pdf

      ASTROLAB ñ LONG VERSION
00.33 NARR: Eleven years after completion of the first European Space Agency ESA long term mission to the Russian MIR space station and after many years of training andpreparation, the time had finally come. The astronaut mission began on the 4th of July 2006 ñ a public holiday in the United States and a special day for Thomas Reiter toobecause Germany was approaching the semi-final of the football world cup: another opportunity to wave the German flag on the way to the launch ramp. About four hoursbefore launch, the crew were buckled on to their seats on board space shuttle Discovery. After two launches attempts had been abandoned in the last few days because of weather, the crew were mindful of the mantra that all good things come in threes and very hopeful that this time, the launch of mission STS-121 would go ahead.
      01.22 Countdown.
01.33 Speaker: And lift off for the space shuttle Discovery, returning to the space station paving the way for future missions beyond.
