ESA’s Living Planet Symposium, one of the world’s leading Earth observation conferences, opened today in Vienna. This media briefing provided an opportunity for members of the press to meet and ask questions with speakers from the morning's opening session. ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher and ESA Director of Earth Observation Programmes Simonetta Cheli were both present along with Florence Rabier, Director General of ECMWF and Philip Evans, Director General of EUMETSAT. One of the topics covered was the morning’s reveal of Biomass’s first images.
