From 19 to 20 September, ESA’s Headquarters in Paris opened its doors to more than 4000 visitors for ESA Open Days 2026. With ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti among the special guests, visitors took a closer look into Europe’s presence in space. 

From exploring the Astrolab and experiencing the International Space Station through VR, to discovering ESA missions, meeting experts, exploring future career opportunities and taking part in a simulated ESA Council debate, there was something for everyone.
