      STS-61A was a dedicated German Spacelab (D-1) and took place onboard Space Shuttle challenger which was launched on the 30 October 1985. The mission included German astronauts Reinhard Furrer and Ernst Messerschmid and Dutch ESA astronaut Wubbo Ockels, Featured during the mission was the Vestibular Sled designed to give scientists data on functional organization of human vestibular and orientation systems. Spacelab D-1 also encompassed 75 numbered experiments, most performed more than once. Mission included basic and applied microgravity research in fields of materials science, life sciences and technology, and communications and navigation.
      This programme is a NASA edited post flight presentation of the highlights of the mission with English commentary provided by the crew.
