      MICROGRAVITY
      10 00 40
A mini-catapult launching a moment of microgravity, near weightless, just for a
      fraction of a second.
Bill Carey from the European Space Agency explains what the test is being used
      for.
      ITV Bill Carey
We illustrate gravity on satellites, on the Moon and on Mars, so it illustrates
      different parameters effectively.

The European Space Agency's Erasmus Building is not only the HQ of Europe's
future manned-space missions, its also another microgravity testing ground.
A heavy capsule free falls inside a metal structure some 13 meters high,
creating a second and half of microgravity.
A soft landing prevents the capsule or the contents of the experiment contained
      inside it being inside it.
Engineer Massimo Sabbatini oversees the process.

      ITV Massimo Sabbatini
A second and a half is very short but it's enough for us to look at the
Various phenomenon which interest us. For sure we make better observations with
other systems such as parabolic flights with 20 seconds of weightlessne
