The University of Leeds Centre for Polar Observation and Modelling led ground-based field work as part of the Karen campaign, which took place on the west coast of Greenland in October 2016. The work involved extracting long cylindrical ice cores and using instruments to probe the ice sheet as part of an international effort to develop new space technology to monitor our changing polar environment.
