Skylab, America's first manned space laboratory, is planned for launch in 1973. This documentary gives an overview of the mission and its objectives. In addition to general footage of astronaut training and NASA rockets, numerous images related to the biomedical, space science and Earth observation elements of the mission are provided. Visualisation is aided using a mock-up of the Skylab's interior.
