N° 8–2021: Call for media: Information session from 296th ESA Council

The ESA Council will meet on 17 and 18 March 2021 in its 296th session.

Updates on ESA programmes will be provided to the media, particularly in regards to ESA’s Space Transportation Systems.

Several cooperation agreements are under approval, including most importantly the addition of Lithuania as an Associate member of ESA, the cooperation with Bulgaria and India, the agreement on the use of Earth Observation data by United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the extension of the present funding on the European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) by the European Commission, and the definition of a new Financial Framework Partnership Agreement (FFPA) with the European Union.

Information about the outcome of the ESA Council will be shared with media online on 18 March 2021 15.00-16.00 (CET).
