Solar-B renamed ‘Hinode’ after launch

Solar-B, JAXA's mission to study the solar magnetic field, was successfully launched on 22 September 2006 at 23:36 CEST from the Uchinoura Space Center (USC) in Japan. The mission was renamed 'Hinode', meaning 'sunrise', after launch.
