Sweden's space hero returns home

Apart from the massive media presence at the airport, Christer Fuglesang was also greeted by the Thunman school students from the town of Knivsta that had been in contact with him during his mission.
 
  Shared joy
 
A group of retired airline pilots started a "Christer Fuglesang Fan Club", and they were at the airport to greet him.
 
  Last spacewalk was the climax
 
Government officials had lunch with Christer Fuglesang. They received a signed image of the first Swedish astronaut.
 
  First weightless reporter
 
A packed auditorium and thundering applause greeted Christer Fuglesang when he arrived at his old university later in the afternoon.
 
  The minister's door mat
 
A small step for Christer, but a giant leap for Sweden, may be an appropriate way to describe Fuglesang's mission. But Christer also thought it was a pretty amazing step.
