Lange Nacht der Sterne am ESOC
Long Night of the Stars at ESOC
Tickets for the ‘Long Nights of Stars 2009’ at ESOC

8 June 2009
Tickets for the ‘Long Nights of Stars’ at ESOC are now on sale and the European Space Agency, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) and Wissenschaftsstadt Darmstadt Marketing warmly invite you for a fantastic educational experience on 4 September.

The European Space Agency invites you to visit our control centre and see how and where our satellites are operated. Our missions include Venus Express and Mars Express, now exploring our neighbouring planets, the comet-chasing satellite Rosetta now en route to a rendezvous with comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko in 2014, Earth observation missions like Envisat, ERS-2 and GOCE which are helping us investigate our planet’s changing climate, and the new orbiting telescopes Herschel and Planck, which will explore the origins of the universe.

This event is open to the public and will take place on 4 September 2009, 18:00-01:00.

Visitors are required to bring a government-issued photo ID and must register online to purchase tickets. Visitors may not carry large bags or take photos.
