Central and eastern Europe make history with small satellites
 
13 February 2012   The first satellites entirely designed and built by Hungary, Poland, Romania are now orbiting Earth after today’s successful maiden flight of ESA's small Vega launcher.

European students reach for the stars
 
13 February 2012   History was made today as ESA’s new Vega launcher lifted off from Kourou spaceport in French Guiana. On board were nine small satellites, including seven ESA- sponsored CubeSats built by teams of students from European universities.
REXUS sounding rocket
Student teams selected for upcoming REXUS/BEXUS flights
 
9 February 2012   Ten student teams from ESA's Member and Cooperating States have been selected by a panel of experts from ESA, the Swedish National Space Board (SNSB), SSC and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to fly their experiments on future sounding rocket and balloon campaigns.
