Optical set-up generating entangled photons for public demonstrations and education. A blue laser beam passes a crystal which converts a blue photon into two entangled infrared photons (simulated by visible red laser lines in the photo). A similar, although much more complex, setup was used at the Jacobus Kapteyn Telescope on La Palma to generate the pairs of entangled photons for the teleportation experiment.
