A reflectarray antenna printed on a flat panel. The traditional curved antenna reflector, instantly recognisable aboard a satellite, is not easily foldable in panels. Vice versa, reflectarray antennas, constituted by small metallic elements printed on a dielectric slab placed above a metallic ground plane, can be decomposed in flat panels which can be easily deployed and stowed.
