MetOp-SG and Sentinel-5 stickers on Ariane 6 rocket fairing

With MetOp-SG-A1 and Sentinel-5 launch scheduled for 13 August 2025 at 02:37 CEST (12 August 21:37 Kourou time), preparations at Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, have reached a key milestone. The satellite has now been sealed inside the protective fairing of the Ariane 6 rocket with the mission stickers applied to the fairing.

MetOp-SG-A1 is Europe’s first MetOp Second Generation weather satellite and hosts the first Copernicus Sentinel-5 spectrometer as part of its instrument package.
