Galileo satellites in OHB (2012)

Galileo Full Operational Capability (FOC) satellites in the cleanroom of OHB during integration. Following the In-Orbit Validation (IOV) phase, the FOC phase of Galileo involved deployment of a fully operational system that provides precise positioning, navigation and timing services for a range of applications. OHB produced the 34 satellites of the FOC phase. Over the course of 11 launches from 2014 to 2024, 28 FOC First Generation Galileo satellites have been placed in orbit. The remaining six Galileo First Generation satellites will be deployed in the next few years to enhance the resilience and robustness of the constellation.
