Virtual Reality on the International Space Station

ESA project astronaut Marcus Wandt of European Space Agency uses Virtual Reality for onboard training (VR-OBT) during his January 2024 mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

Developed by ESA’s XR Lab, the application explores how VR headsets can be used aboard the ISS to enable hands-free, real-time training and guidance through complex procedures.
