ESA project astronaut Adrianos Golemis

Adrianos Golemis from Greece joined ESA as a Project Astronaut on 1 September 2026.

His assignment is part of an agreement signed by ESA and Vast on behalf of Greece to support a future private astronaut mission. He became the first Greek citizen to begin astronaut training at ESA's European Astronaut Centre and is preparing for a future mission in low Earth orbit.
