This production is the shorter version of Production nr 3315 'Microgravity'.
This was used for broadcasting on ESA TV on 2nd June 2006.
There are several ways to ""switch off"" your weight without leaving the Earth's gravity field. They all have in common that an object is ""falling free"", for example in a drop tower, or on a parabolic flight, a sounding rocket, the Space Station.
Today's Exchange provides an overview of these methods and compares their advantages and shortcomings.
here is the full script and shotlist:
      10 00 40
A mini-catapult launching a moment of microgravity, near weightless, just for a
      fraction of a second.
Bill Carey from the European Space Agency explains what the test is being used
      for.
      ITV Bill Carey
We illustrate gravity on satellites, on the Moon and on Mars, so it illustrates
      different parameters effectively.

The European Space Agency's Erasmus Building is not only the HQ of Europe's
future manned-space missions, its also another microgravity testing ground.

This production 'Microgravity the various tools', is the shorter version of production number 3315 'Microgravity'.
