Elsie Loukiantchenko

I am a new YGT focusing on advanced concepts in nanophotonics, with additional interest in quantum communication and networking in space.

I recently completed my MSc. in Applied Physics at TU Delft, specializing in Physics for Quantum Devices and Quantum Computing. My thesis was done at QuTech, interfacing NV centers in diamond with quantum memories in order to build reliable quantum networking via quantum repeaters. Having spend my last few years working in a lab on current problems, I am looking forward to working in an office on the problems of the future.

As an Israeli-born Canadian speaking Russian and French, I grew up in an envornment which constantly fostered creative thinking and resilience in various forms. My interdisciplinary education has given me a wide range of ideas I am excited to implement here in the Advanced Concepts Team.
