Qu Gao

I am a summer intern in quantum computation at ESA's Advanced Concepts Team (ACT).

I recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences (Astrophysics) from the University of Cambridge, and I will be commencing my Master's studies in Theoretical Physics at ETH Zürich in September 2024.

My research is on the topic of classical simulations of quantum computers; during my internship, I look forward to exploring how traditional computer science problems such as #SAT can shed light on the behaviour of quantum circuits.

Outside of physics, I have a soft spot towards cats and French patisserie. I also enjoy rowing, swimming, hiking, and ballroom dancing.
