ESA and the EU resolve to strengthen Europe's competitiveness through space
A resolution to use space to boost European competitiveness has been agreed by ESA and the EU at the conclusion of a Space Council held in Brussels.
The statement highlights the contributions that space makes to European competitiveness and societal challenges. It outlines measures to boost the competitiveness of the European space industry, while stating that space is a backbone for European action on the world stage.
The “Resolution on Strengthening Europe’s Competitiveness through Space” was adopted on 23 May.
