Are you a qualified physician wishing to gain insight into the field of space medicine? If so, would you like to learn about how medical support is provided to ESA crew by the Space Medicine Team at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne, Germany, and discuss the challenges that physicians face in support of exploration and commercial spaceflight?

During the three-day Space Physician Training Course (SPTC), participants can attend presentations given by ESA experts, detailing the realities of supporting ESA astronauts’ health and well-being before, during and after their missions. ESA flight surgeons and other members of the Space Medicine Team discuss topics ranging from the challenges of the space environment and the physiological consequences it has on the human body, to countermeasures that are employed or being developed for future missions beyond Low Earth Orbit. In addition, some of the facilities that are key to how astronaut medical support are showcased.

Participation in the SPTC is offered at no cost, but participants must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation.
