SP-1336 Sentinel-5 ESA's Polar-orbiting Atmospheric Composition Mission in Support of Copernicus Services
Copernicus Sentinel-5 is an instrument that will be flown on three sequential MetOp-SG satellites.
The operational mission will provide daily global coverage of atmospheric composition from low-Earth orbit complementing measurements from Sentinel-4. Measurements will be made of chemical components of the troposphere as well as aerosol and cloud properties, and used for air quality monitoring and forecasting and for other chemistry and climate applications.
This report provides a high-level description of the main aspects of the Copernicus Sentinel-5 mission. Read online
