ESA at Ecsite Space Group Annual Meeting 2018
The Ecsite Space Group’s Annual meeting 2018, will be held on the 30–31 January 2019 at the Columbus earth center in Kerkrade, The Netherlands.
The Space Group, with more than 190 members and the support of ESA, aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and projects to better share the European achievements in space with the general public.
The Space Group is led by three co-chairs: Marc Moutin, Director of Exhibitions at Cite’de l Éspace, Toulouse, France; Ana Noronha, Executive Director of Ciência Viva, Lisbon, Portugal; and Maria Menendez, Head of ESA Corporate Exhibitions and Strategy Events.
On the 30 January, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Columbus earth center and its activities.
The two-day workshop will cover:
- The latest news and resources from ESA;
- News from the Netherlands Space office and from industry;
- The new collaboration between ESA’s Education office and Airbus;
- The Pilot Project ‘Climate change: Monitoring the atmosphere and oceans from space’, led by Ciencia Viva, Lisbon, Portugal;
- In the frame of ‘Space for life’, the Pilot Project Alive! board game, Ciutat de les Arts I les Ciences, Valencia, Spain;
- Showcase space projects by participants.
Representatives from science engagement organisations will share the space projects, innovative resources and ideas.
