Galileo: the world’s most precise satellite navigation system

Galileo is Europe’s largest satellite constellation – and the world’s most accurate satnav system. Work on Galileo began two decades ago with two test GIOVE satellites, followed by a series of operational launches. 

Galileo is currently serving more than four billion users around the globe. The Second Generation of Galileo satellites is planned to join Europe's existing constellation later this decade.
