MAXSS 20233 Apr - 5 Apr This workshop is organised in the frame of ESA's Marine-Atmosphere eXtreme Satellite Synergy (MAXSS) project, whose objective is to maximize the synergetic use of Earth observation data to improve our understanding of the multi-scale dynamical characteristics of extreme air-sea interaction events. The objective of the workshop is to present the main results of the MAXSS project in terms of new products and scientific analysis, to review the existing methods and models for retrieving and monitoring ocean-surface extreme surface winds and storm-induced waves from space, and to collect feedback and recommendations from the scientific community for new initiatives to be implemented. |
