Granada 2001
Following completion of the pre-Phase A studies of the candidate EE Core Missions, five Reports for Assessment will be presented to the Earth science community during a User Consultation Meeting to be held in Granada in Spain on 30-31 October 2001.
This meeting is open to the whole of the Earth science research community and will largely follow the format of past Granada meetings.
After this meeting the evaluation of the five missions will be initiated under the auspices of the Earth Sciences Advisory Committee (ESAC). It will be this Committee's responsibility to decide on behalf of the scientific community which of the five missions to recommend for Phase A study to the Programme Board for Earth Observation.
During the meeting, each of the five missions will be presented in turn and, in addition to seeking clarifications, participants will be invited to comment on the strengths and weaknesses of the candidate missions.
