Space Inspire Novacom II
Space Inspire Novacom II is an ESA Partnership Project to support the development of a new product line for geostationary telecommunications satellites that will enable commercial customers to reconfigure while in orbit satellites that broadcast video and provide broadband connectivity services.
Software-defined, extremely flexible and fully reconfigurable in orbit, the new Space Inspire Novacom II satellites are being developed by satellite manufacturer Thales Alenia Space and European suppliers supported by ten ESA Member States.
Six Space Inspire Novacom II satellites have already been sold by Thales Alenia Space, and many more orders are expected to be placed in the years to come.
