The San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy is featured in this close-up view captured in December 2025 by the WorldView-3 satellite. The Stadium will host the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics, also known as the Milano Cortina Games, which are taking place simultaneously in different regions and venues across northern Italy.
The WorldView missions are part of ESA’s Third Party Missions programme, which means ESA uses its multi-mission ground systems and expertise to acquire, process, distribute and archive data from a wide range of satellite missions developed and operated by other agencies.
