Water levels rise at the Mornos Reservoir

The Mornos Reservoir in south-central mainland Greece made the news recently as its water levels raised significantly in few months after reaching its 15-year low and creating serious concerns for Athens, which relies on its water supply. 

These Copernicus Sentinel-2 images clearly show the lake in October 2025, when it reached its lowest point, and in April 2026 when its water reserves appear to have tripled.
