Cluster II reentry ground tracks Samba and Tango

On 31 August and 1 September 2026, the last two of the four satellites that made up ESA’s Cluster mission will reenter Earth’s atmosphere over a remote corner of the South Pacific Ocean.

The two satellites (SC = spacecraft) called Samba and Tango, on similar routes one day apart, will be visible to their last ground station in Kourou, French Guyana (KRU) until briefly before reentry and burning up (visibility range marked neon green).
