This 19 October in Kourou at 22:45 (20 October at 1:45 UT) Ariane 5 V245 will launch BepiColombo, an ESA / JAXA mission to understand the planet Mercury.

One of ESA’s cornerstone missions, BepiColombo will study and understand the composition, geophysics, atmosphere, magnetosphere and history of Mercury, the least explored planet in the inner Solar System.

BepiColombo will provide the best understanding of Mercury to date. It consists of two individual orbiters: the ESA Mercury Planetary Orbiter (MPO) to map the planet, and the JAXA Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter (MMO) to investigate its magnetosphere.

This feed will show the latest images of the preparation of BepiColombo and Ariane with interviews of this mission managers in English, Japanese, French and German.
