This video looks at the rise of AI and how it is advantagous to EO.
Deep learning algorithms that were originally developed to look at natural images and pick out patterns are increasingly being used in remote sensing.
In this video we hear from Julien Cornebise about how the machine learning community is working with the EO community to solve problems. Pierre-Phillipe Mathieu and Jennifer Adams from ESA provide some examples of AI in action, including collaborations between ESA, WFP and UNICEF on projects using AI to classify crops.
