Applications open for the next ESA teacher workshops in September-December 2023

ESA Education Office is now announcing the teacher training schedule for the period September-December 2023, open to Primary and Secondary school teachers residing and teaching in ESA Member States, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Malta and featuring eight workshops using three different space themes.

Since the beginning of 2023, more than 300 Primary and Secondary School teachers from ESA Member States, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Malta have already participated in the teacher workshops organized by ESA Education at its ESEC facilities in Belgium: the traditional workshop on Technology and Robotics and, since April 2023, Teach with Earth from Space, a training activity focused on Earth Observation and Climate and including the use of real space data. 

With the cross-disciplinary Teach with Space online conference in July, the training events for the current school year will be completed.  

ESA Education Office is now announcing the teacher training schedule for the period September-December 2023, open to Primary and Secondary school teachers residing and teaching in ESA Member States, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Malta and featuring eight workshops using three different space themes: 

  • Technology and Robotics

         - 2x Primary school level: 14-15 September;  18-19 December 

         - 2x Secondary school level: 27-29 September; 11-13 December  

  • Teach with Earth from Space (Earth Observation and Climate themes) 

         - 1x Primary School Level: 5-6 October 

         - 1x Secondary school level: 19-20 October 

  • Teach with the Moon (Space Exploration theme) 

         - 1x Primary school level: 9-10 November 

         - 1x Secondary school level: 16-17 November
