Description of the Cansat mission:
The AlpSat CanSat will measure its position with GPS as well as its height with a pressure sensor. On top of that, the team will integrate the data of our 3-axis-accelerometer to get another value of the position. Their objective objective is to compare the latter two methods of measuring the position with the GPS-data in terms of their accuracy. With an additional camera, the students will try to calculate the height one more time by processing the image data. Besides, they would like to observe the landscape around the launch site.
