Ground Segment

Three different Ground Stations (GS) are planned to be used in order to transmit tele-commands and receive the telemetry and mission data generated by the payloads onboard. Two GS are dedicated to TMTC communication: Forlì GS as the main station and Vigo GS as a backup.

Moreover, the GS at the University of Technology in Munich will be used for the downlink of the data generated by the different payloads, using the HSTX-payload. In order to provide a high-speed datalink for the scientific data transmission, this dedicated S-band transmitter will be provided as a payload complement.

Additionally, the AMSAT payload is meant to connect to the AMSAT ground station network around the globe and transmit housekeeping telemetry and, optionally, science data.
