ESA Academy Student Associations Outreach Initiative

Designed as a flexible and scalable collaboration model, the programme adapts to each association’s size and outreach capacity, while providing a clear structure through defined collaboration packages, agreed outreach actions, and a dedicated onboarding process.

Who can apply

Student associations interested in applying should:

• represent tertiary education students and be active in their community;
• have their registered office in an ESA Member State or Associate Member;
• demonstrate a link to space or space-related domains;
• be able to implement agreed outreach actions through their regular activities and communication channels;
• appoint a single point of contact (POC) for coordination with ESA Academy.

Why collaborate with ESA Academy

By joining the initiative, student associations can benefit from:

• a structured collaboration with ESA Academy;
• increased visibility for their association through ESA Academy communication channels;
• better visibility of ESA Academy opportunities for their members;
• participation in webinars and outreach-related activities;
• depending on the collaboration package, potential ESA Academy support for selected association events and outreach actions.

How it works

Selected associations are invited to an onboarding phase during which the collaboration package, agreed outreach actions, collaboration duration, and coordination arrangements are confirmed.

The collaboration is then carried out, with ESA Academy providing support where feasible.

At the end of the collaboration period, associations submit a brief report outlining the activities performed and provide feedback to support future improvement of the programme.

The collaboration may be extended, subject to agreement by both parties.

How to apply

• Interested student associations submit their application through the following form.
• Application deadline: 5 October 11:59 CEST.

Applicants will typically be asked to provide:

• basic information about the association, including scope, membership size, activities, and outreach channels;
• information on the association’s motivation to collaborate with ESA Academy;
• a short explanation of how the association would implement the relevant outreach actions;
• confirmation of commitment to the programme terms and conditions and ESA Academy visibility guidance.
