ESA Teach with Space International Teacher Training

ESA’s Teach with Space initiative offers a wealth of different classroom activities and resources that make use of space topics in support of the teaching and learning of STEM disciplines in the classroom, at primary and secondary levels.
The ESA Teach with Space teacher trainings accompany and guide teachers to the use of such inspiring and innovative classroom activities.

These teacher workshops are open to teachers and professional educators with nationality of all ESA Member States (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom) and also Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, currently teaching in one of these countries.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As of June 2025, our current ESA Education international in-person teacher training programme will come to a pause. ESA remains committed to supporting teachers and educators across Europe. This pause is an opportunity for us to reimagine and create new STEM training opportunities that will empower you to inspire and teach the next generation of Earth and space explorers.

Every year in the second week of July, ESA Education hosts the online Teach with Space Conference for teachers and educators. During the conference, participants have the opportunity to explore our STEM educational resources and interdisciplinary projects that use space as an inspiring context. They also have the opportunity to listen to engaging talks by ESA experts in different areas like Earth observation, astronaut activities, exploration, space science and much more.

Teacher Training in your country with ESERO

ESA also provides support for primary and secondary school teachers in your own country and language through its European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) network. A key objective of ESERO is to deliver teacher training courses based on space-related resources that are tailored to the national curricula and provided in the national language(s). Trainings are often performed in collaboration with national partners and institutions. Whenever possible, the courses are officially accredited Continual Professional Development (CPD).

For more information and to apply, visit the training webpage of your national ESERO.
