Register now for the ESA Teach with Space Online Conference, taking place from 9 to 10 July 2025.
By joining this conference, you will have the opportunity to listen to inspirational talks by ESA experts on satellites which observe the Earth, biodiversity, exoplanets, exploration of the Moon and beyond, the use of Artificial Intelligence in space and other exciting topics. You will also have the opportunity to meet an ESA astronaut and get to know STEM activities and interdisciplinary projects which use space activities as an example of the real application of STEM subjects in real life.

ESA Teach with Space Online Conference

Over the course of two days, you will explore different STEM topics under the context of space activities and missions, by hearing from space experts; discover inspiring ways to use space as a context to teach STEM in your physical and virtual lessons; hear about school projects, experience demonstrations of our fun classroom activities; enjoy virtual visits to ESA sites and more!

Building on the amazing success of the past editions we are happy to open registrations for the fifth edition of the ESA Teach with Space Online Conference.

This year’s conference offers an overview of the ESA Education programme, including new didactic resources and interdisciplinary projects, virtual tours of the ESA facilities and keynote speakers from different ESA programmes.

Learn from our space experts what are the priorities and plans of ESA regarding:

  • Earth Observation helping study biodiversity,
  • Searching for Exoplanets,
  • Reaching the Moon and Beyond,
  • The use of Artificial Intelligence in Space Missions.

Moreover, don’t miss this unique opportunity to join the live ESA’s astronaut talk and learn about life and research in space.

Behind the scenes of ESA's 2024 Teachers Conference

The ESA Teach with Space Conference features a two-day program that will provide teachers with didactic activities and online tools that use space activities as an inspiring context for teaching and learning STEM.  

The program includes:

  • Plenary sessions with keynote lectures from ESA experts. Learn about the Earth Observation program, how satellites help study biodiversity, what are the latest advances in exoplanet detection, what is ESAs plan to reach to the Moon and beyond, how Artificial Intelligence is used in Space Missions, and get an idea of how is it like living and working in space, from an ESA astronaut.  
  • Two virtual tours of ESA’s facilities.
  • Share your projects – a session where the best school projects from the participants are highlighted. Submit your project and you can be one of the selected participants.
  • Parallel splinter sessions with demonstrations of didactic activities for primary and secondary level, that will explore space themes. Discover in a fun way all the new resources available in the ESA Teach with Space collection.
  • And finally, moments of networking with the other participants and also the national ESEROs

Who can apply?

The conference is open to Primary and Secondary school teachers and professional educators with nationality of all ESA Member States (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom) and also Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia currently teaching in one of these countries.

How and when to apply

Teachers wishing to participate in the ESA Teach with Space Conference should complete the registration form.

To ensure fair access to teachers from all ESA Member States, as well as Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovakia, registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis by country of residency. 

Applications will be open until 07 July (12.00 pm CEST) 2025 (or until the capacity of the online venue is reached).

Conference details

The conference will feature live sessions that will be recorded and made available to the participants shortly after the conference.

The working language of the conference is English. 

There is no fee to participate in the conference.
