About social bookmarking
Many pages in the ESA Science and Spacecraft Operations sections now include an icon link (see left side of this page) to a pop-up link-list providing access to a range of social bookmarking and link-sharing websites.
(We use the free, syndicated bookmark linking service provided by AddThis.com).
How does it work?
These sites allow you to store, tag and share links across the Internet. You can share these links both with friends and people with similar interests. You can also access your links from any computer you happen to be using.
So, if you come across a story that you find interesting and want to save for future reference or share it with other people, simply click on the icon link at left and select the bookmarking service that you have registered with; a link to the current page will be automatically added to your list.
All of these sites are free to use but do require you to register. Once you have registered you can begin bookmarking. Note that each bookmarking service works slightly differently, so access the service provider's home page for details.
