Resources for Industry
A selection of resources industry might find useful.
ESA is simplifying how we do business
Working with ESA has, historically, been complex but there is an ongoing effort to make processes leaner. There is now a single entry point for all industry-driven R&D activities with Orbit on OSIP. Application templates have been harmonised making it easier to apply regardless of which programme best fits your activity.
Our focus is on helping companies find the right programme, faster, with less administration and less time to reach contract.

How to work with the General Support Technology Programme (GSTP)
Industry or ESA driven
Whatever stage of maturity your technology is at (from disruptive idea and early concept to product ready for flight demonstration), and whatever field it is in, ESA can provide support for your next step. There are two routes into the Technology Programmes: Industry or ESA driven. Both routes are important and are supported through OSIP campaigns, open calls, workplans and ESA STAR procurements.
Laboratories and Facilities
Through ESA’s R&D, industry can access: funding, ESA's technical expertise and world-class laboratories and testing facilities.
ESA supports strategic development for Europe’s future in space
ESA supports strategic technology development in areas that strengthen both European sovereignty and industrial competitiveness. Current priorities include: AI, quantum technologies, innovative propulsion, cybersecurity, sustainable space, VLEO and Serialisation.
At CM25, ESA Member States added a dedicated Component within GSTP for “Resilience and Security” to strengthen European technology sovereignty.
