Flight Software Systems Section (TEC-EDS)

The Flight Software Section (TEC-EDS), led by Marek Prochazka, provides expert project support for flight software (FSW) and related aspects for all ESA missions across all directorates.

• Supporting all ESA projects across all directorates in the areas of flight software and functional engineering
• All phases of FSW development including:
  • independent V&V of critical FSW
  • V&V benches (such as SVF, OBC emulators)
• Supporting software-system related activities
  • HW-SW co-engineering, fault management, end-to-end operations, AIT/AIV activities
• Development and assessment of FSW technologies, methods and tools
• Participation in software and data handling related standardization
• Running Flight Software Lab as a part of the Avionics Lab to support R&D and industrial activities
