N° 11–1998: ESA/ASI press conference and ARTEMIS presentation in Rome

On Wednesday 8 April, ESA Director General Antonio Rodota' and the President of the Italian space agency (ASI), Sergio de Julio, will meet the press at ASI in Rome for a press conference starting at 9h15. The two heads of agency will review the current and future activities of their respective organisations.

Press are then invited to visit Alenia Aerospazio where ESA's telecommunications satellite, ARTEMIS, is undergoing final integration tests before being delivered to ESA/ESTEC in the Netherlands later this spring, for environmental testing and final check-outs (see attached "Note for Editors").

A programme of the day's activities and an accreditation form are attached. Media representatives wishing to attend the press events are kindly requested to complete the accreditation form and return it by fax to the ESA Public Relations Division
