This gallery shows the last days in Baikonur before ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen, commander Sergei Volkov and Aidyn Aimbetov are launched into space on 2 September.

They gave a press conference at the Cosmonaut hotel in Baikonur, Kazakhstan, in the morning of 1 September after the State Commission gave the final go ahead for their mission.

Their Soyuz rocket and spacecraft was rolled out to the launchpad the day before.
